It is the policy and intent of Northbrook Farmers Market to treat all persons equally, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, place of residence, political affiliation, marital status, ability, gender, or age.
Our location is handicapped accessible, and volunteers are available to help. Come to the Welcome Booth and let us know how we can assist you.
We're in this together
A word about behavior expectations at the Market: Northbrook Farmers Market treats all persons with decency and respect . We expect our visitors to behave respectfully toward others, too. Aggressive, threatening, rude, or loud behavior is not acceptable to anyone and will not be tolerated.
Also, the Market is here for everyone to enjoy. No individual or entity may use the Market to further their personal agenda, whatever that may be.
Please refrain from smoking (anything) inside the market.
For safety reasons, do not ride your bicycle inside the Market and under no circumstances should anyone ever drive or park their vehicle inside the Market.
If you are ill, please wear a mask or stay home until you feel well.
A little kindness goes a long way!
If you have any questions, please contact us via this website (below), or stop by the yellow Welcome Booth to speak with the Market Manager.
We receive a lot of requests from folks who want to be in our market--and we are thrilled to hear from you!
We're proud that over the years we have served as an incubator for many startups, some of them just an idea or a bit of tinkering in the kitchen, and now are thriving food businesses. Some now sell their products at local grocery stores!
Customers and prospective vendors alike should know that we vet all of our vendors before offering an invitation to sell. We take very seriously food safety, adherence to local, county, state, and federal requirements, as well as sustainable business practices.
We do not offer our application online, so DO NOT contact us simply asking for one.
Instead, contact us with your name, address, and some basics: specifics on what you wish to sell, where you are located, are you starting out new or selling at other markets too? How is your product better than the next guy's? Why do you want to be in this market? Let's start a conversation!
Before you take that courageous leap (we have nothing but respect and admiration for you) into starting your own business, here are a few things you will need (this is not comprehensive):
Should we offer you a contract you will need to read and understand our policies and rules, and complete and sign our application, which includes a pledge that you are growing/producing what you sell at the market, and that you will be honest and fair with us and our customers.
One last word: Don't be intimidated; this is all doable. Come to the market and talk with us at the Welcome Booth and talk with our vendors. We're all eager for you to realize your dreams!
